We think the 88 Model Designation refers to the Year 1988 and we think this revolver was manufactured in 1988 or 1989.

If Peterson is correct, this is a first year 1992 production piece. This one’s W047000 range number makes it quite a bit earlier. We got our first Rossi 88 Stainless Revolvers in late 1992, and they were staples until Interarms collapsed in 1998.
